While continuing in ongoing development projects, George Ward has returned to a hands-on role in the brokerage arena after a career spent exclusively in property development. He currently specializes in the South Carolina counties adjacent to the Charlotte metro area. Prior to joining Coldwell Banker Commercial MECA, Mr. Ward served in a variety roles in numerous public and private development companies which included corporate responsibility for the brokerage/marketing divisions of those groups and prolific roles in associated community and economic development.
Most notably, he was Vice President of the Northeast Florida Tower Division of WCI Communities, a Florida-based development company specializing in resort and residential planned communities. He previously served as Director of the West Florida Commercial Division of the St. Joe/Arvida Company. There, he directed the creation and development of multiple commercial projects both stand alone and within their resort and master-planned communities.
Prior to St. Joe/Arvida, Mr. Ward served as Executive Vice President of the Quinnco Companies of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, which had operations in Georgia, Florida and the Carolinas. There, he was involved in a variety of commercial and residential developments including the 1600 Arch Street redevelopment in Philadelphia, PA, Bluffton House apartments and the multi-use planned unit development that became Bluffton Park.Return to list
